hi back in the 70's when i had cracks at the edge,i took it to a machine shop,he put it on a lathe and cut around ip to the crack,the cymbal was thicker and sounded great ,it looks funky cutting out a piece lite a pie or a jigsaw puzzle,my cymbal sounds cool and sustain sound and loud,take it to a machine shop

Am surprised about painting the cymbals; I redo kids' used drum kits much like this, but everything I've read online says not to paint the cymbals.

If i see another repair cymbal video 😂😂. You can't repair a cracked cymbal. Cutting out a damaged portion is not a repair. Its a modification! Imagine if drummers did this to drum shells? ,😏🥱

zultan really completely made the big brands redundant when it comes to entry and mid priced cymbals. id argue zultan sounds just as good as the priciest cymbals out there, for a fraction of the price.

I wish it was more acceptable to actually hit cymbals in the store before buying them. I do wish some sort of tech. was being used to classify cymbals more accurately so you know your old cracked 17" K will sound 95% like your new 17" K.

Surprised Ludwigs Speed King isnt considered...it may still be the most in use pedal ever. Compression springs, super ball bearings. Just set the bottom screws to your preference and its floating power heaven .

Y'all can do this with a Dremel and a drill. That's kind of a vague statement though because a Dremel is only as good as it's attachments. Good video, though.

used small dryer sheet, trimmed, underneath the welded metal part of the wires. i only needed 1 but 2 for each side should do the trick.

Plywood drums are nothing but the cheapest, fastest and most economic way to build drums. Its pretty easy and repeatable. There is so much bla bla going on 😅

Best pedal I've ever used was the Ghost. Too bad they're no longer made.

I just bought the Yamaha FP9C, and it is my favorite piece of gear. I’ve tried many of the pedals reviewed here and had been playing an Iron Cobra for about 10 years (which I also love). Yamaha made it very easy to change the spring tension and access the clamp screw, and the spikes located near the heel of the pedal is an improvement over other pedals that feature spikes closer to the clamp. The action is smooth, as is the large footplate. I highly recommend checking one out.

My 1st kit was Tama Rockstar. Miss that kit! It was so easy to quick assemble, sounded soooo good. My new kit is Pearl...Tama wasn't available. I'm disappointed with the set up. Takes way to long. However, the Tom's sound great removing all bottom heads. They look awesome no matter what

Tbf undampened is what most often sounds best in the mix. With most dampening the snare completely disappears but for a little bit of snare buzz
